Plain-language summary of how KalshiAPI (kalshiapi.com) works. Using the site or API means you agree to these terms.
KalshiAPI provides historical and live market data collected from Kalshi, delivered as a REST API, an MCP server, and downloadable Parquet datasets. We are an independent third party and are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Kalshi Inc.
On a paid plan, you get a non-exclusive license to use the data for your own purposes, including commercial use: backtesting, research, models, internal tools, dashboards, trading, and products you build on top of it.
You may not resell or redistribute the raw dataset (in whole or in substantial part) as a competing data product or feed. Derived works, analysis, signals, models and applications built from the data are yours.
The free tier is for evaluation and light personal use, subject to the published rate limits.
The data is provided "as is." We collect it carefully, deduplicate and verify it, but we don't guarantee it is complete, error-free, or uninterrupted. Nothing here is financial advice or a recommendation to trade. You are responsible for your own decisions.
Subscriptions (API and data subscription) can be cancelled anytime; billing stops at the end of the current period and there are no further charges.
One-time dataset purchases: if the file is faulty, corrupt, or materially doesn't match what's described, email us within 14 days and we'll fix it or refund you. Because a dataset is delivered immediately and can be copied, we don't offer refunds for change of mind once it's been downloaded.
We store your email to issue your API key, verify your account, and send transactional email (your key, download links, receipts). We don't sell your data. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your card details.
Don't abuse the service: no attempts to exceed your tier by circumventing rate limits, no sharing of keys across unrelated parties, and no use that breaks the law. We may suspend keys that abuse the service.
